Palomar Fundraiser

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I will be raising funds for Palomar.

Palomar is a family justice center here in OKC that aims to help victims of domestic violence by providing them with the resources they need to not only pull themselves to safety, but reclaim their power as well. These resources include counseling, helping victims find shelters or emergency housing, access to legal aid, medical assistance, and more.

Signed copies of Volume One and digitally signed ebooks can be purchased directly through the link below, and proceeds from these purchases will go directly to Palomar. 

Why Palomar specifically?

As a victim of childhood sexual assault, and as someone who has many loved ones who have also experienced sexual and domestic violence, Palomar is an organization that is near and dear to me personally. I know the stigma around being a victim. I know the misplaced shame, the terrifying ordeal of trying to talk to someone about it and ask for help. I want to change that. Palomar wants to change that. 

When I started TDATN, it was during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was an emotional disaster and the physical embodiment of an old scab ripped open and gushing. The series is not only a love letter to myself and my journey in healing that wound, but also to those who helped me along the way. I could not have survived without the many hands being held out towards me, but I know that many people don’t have that kind of support. That’s where Palomar comes in.

Palomar is the sword and shield for so many victims. They are the hands that reach out when you are stuck in an abyss with seemingly no way forward or out. They are the sun on the horizon. They are hope.

And I find great honor in helping them provide that hope for many more years to come, and for many more people who walk through their doors.
