Frequently Asked Questions

"How did you get into writing?"

I really enjoyed creative writing as a child but fell out of it for a very long time. A couple years ago, I went through a very dark period in my life and whilst working with my therapist, we decided I needed some kind of outlet. I started writing again as a way to give all of my darker, more terrifying emotions a voice.

"What is some advice you would give to other authors, especially those who are wanting publish independently?"

Writing is all about building a community, especially when publishing independently. You can't do everything yourself, you just can't-and that's ok! Use your energy on what you care about most and then surround yourself with caring individuals who will pick up what you can't carry.

Also, I encourage writers to really give some thought into traditional vs. independent publishing. Each has its pros and cons. If you're going to publish independently, you do get to retain a lot of freedom over your content, but you will also have to take on all of the marketing and media for your books yourself. Publishing independently can get pricy, whether you're paying other professionals to help with your editing or book covers, or buying out ads and campaigns on various social media sites/apps. Do your research!

"Tell us more about yourself!"

I am a HUGE anime nerd. I love cosplaying and I binge watch the same four shows about three times a year. I have two cats named Tobio and Shoyou and they are both simultaneously the banes of my existence but also the loves of my life. I love going to the gym and disassociating on the treadmill.
